Sarah Bello, MSW, LISW has been in the field of social work since 2009, drawn into the work through her own lived experience. Her professional experience includes adoption home study assessments and post-placement supervision across domestic infant, foster care, and international adoption; child foster care licensing; post-adoption search and intermediary services; statewide regulatory oversight of foster care and adoption agencies; statewide administration of community engagement programs focused on improving child welfare systems; and statewide performance management for county human service agencies. Sarah’s formal training includes a Master of Social Work, the Permanency and Adoption Competency Certificate, and the State of Minnesota’s Emerging Leaders Institute. Her current area of practice focuses on strategic process improvement in human services statewide to improve outcomes for children, youth, and families across Minnesota.
