She/Her/Hers
Foster Adopt Minnesota

I have worked in child welfare, kinship care, and adoption since 2004. I started out serving as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem with the Second Judicial District. From 2006-2017, I filled a variety of roles with the North American Council on Adoptable Children (NACAC) that primarily centered around advocacy, support, leadership capacity development, and education for youth, young adults, families, and professionals within the foster care, kinship care, and adoption communities. Following my departure from NACAC, I served as a Permanency Specialist for Ampersand Families—working with older youth in need of permanency and families who were hoping to provide permanency for children and youth in foster care.

I went on to spend a year working with youth and young adults experiencing homelessness and housing instability at Oasis for Youth—during which I developed their family case management program which centered around family support and preservation for young families who were at risk of or were already navigating child welfare involvement.

Additionally, I volunteered as a Sexual Violence Crisis Advocate with Ramsey County for 12 years.

In my current role at Foster Adopt Minnesota (FAM), I provide resources, education, support, and connections to local services for families who have recently finalized adoptions and Transfers of Permanent Legal and Physical Custody (TPLPC) from the Minnesota foster care system.
