I will be working on my perinatal certification and EMDR Certification. I have extensive training in TBRI, play techniques, nature based techniques, and mindfulness.

I received my Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Bethel University, St. Paul, a Masters of Social Work from Minnesota State University, Mankato . I am passionate about helping children and families work together toward positive change and healing.
Attended Winona State University for a Bachelors in Social Work and minor in Child Advocacy Studies. Attended University of South Dakota for a Masters in Social Work. I previously worked at the Human Services Center in Yankton, SD on the long term adolescent unit and did Child Protection/Adoptions/Children’s Mental Health Case Management for a county prior to working with children at Western Mental Health Center.

Sara Barber has experience with adoption in both professional and personal capacities, having worked with post-adoptive families for several years, as well as adopted three children of her own. Her personal and professional experience has given her a rich understanding of some of the difficult situations adoptive families and children face, along with knowledge of strategies and tools that incite hope and healing.
Janee specializes in treating a range of mental health challenges, particularly anxiety, depression, and trauma-related conditions like PTSD, for both teens and adults individually or in a group or family setting.
