I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist providing therapeutic services for children, adolescents and families. I received my Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Bethel University, St. Paul, a Masters of Social Work from Minnesota State University, Mankato . I am passionate about helping children and families work together toward positive change and healing.
My clinical experience includes issues related to early childhood trauma, adoption, attachment, sensory integration, parent education, immigration and transracial families. Prior to clinical work at Journeys of Healing, I provided home-based family therapy and early childhood group therapy.
In addition to my clinical work, I have experience in international child welfare; advocating for family and community-based care in East Africa. I also have experience in immigrant and refugee assimilation issues and community development.
