I currently serve as the Youth Services Program Manager at EVOLVE Family Services. I was drawn to EVOLVE because of its strong commitment to child-centered, anti-oppressive, and anti-racist practices. These principles are at the heart of why I do this work. I am committed to ongoing learning and growth and continuously look for ways to deepen my understanding and strengthen these practices in both my leadership and direct work with youth, families, and community partners.

Jackie is a youth worker at EVOLVE Family Services. She works with the STAY program, providing support and independent living skills to youth ages 14-23 who have experienced out of home placement. Jackie also works with youth currently in foster care with a TPR as a child specific recruiter, searching for potential families and advocating for the youth's wants and needs regarding permanency.

Biography
I am the foster care program manager at EVOLVE Family Services. We do home study assessments and license both traditional and kinship foster providers as well as provide post-placement support. Our agency also does work in adoption and permanency, youth services, and pregnancy services. I am a transracial and transnational adoptee. I have previously held roles in supervised parenting, domestic violence case management and advocacy, and psychotherapy.

I greatly enjoy my current role working as a mental health professional. I practice in the outpatient setting both in person and virtually. I work with children, youth, and families with a variety of diagnoses. I have the most experience working with individuals impacted by trauma, and I am trained in EMDR. I have experience professionally working with individuals and families who have experienced adoption and foster care, and I also have personal connections to adoption as my sister is an adult adoptee.

Rachel has been providing services in the local area since 2022. She received her master's in art therapy and counseling from Southwestern College and New Earth Institute in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She enjoys working with a broad age range of clients, often finding herself working with many adolescents. Rachel helps her clients by recognizing and valuing their uniqueness, understanding how ideas affect their emotions, assisting in transforming unhealthy behaviors, and providing a secure, trusting environment conducive to healing, self-acceptance, and self-love.

I am currently a licensing compliance coordinator/licensing social worker at Family Alternatives. I have been working in Child Welfare for the past 5 years as a foster care licensor. I have background with working within Native American Communities and ICWA compliance throughout the state of Minnesota. I prefer working with the teen population, but my caseload currently consists of young children to young teenagers. I focus on positive reinforcement of strengths based frameworks with youth and empowerment.

Kallie Severin, MSW, LICSW has been practicing as a therapist since 2019, with specialized expertise in working with children who have experienced trauma, involved in the foster care system, and with high behavioral needs. She is dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of children and their families through compassionate, evidence-based care.\

Leah Strom has been a social worker since 2001 and has practiced in many areas since that time including child protection, adoption, foster care, training and education. Leah's current role is the Phoenix Learning Xchange (PLX) Coordinator at the Center for Advanced Studies in Child Welfare (CASCW).

Anita Smith has been counseling since 2006; working with families, children and women. She served on the Minnesota State Minnesota State Advisory Board for Permanency in Adoption from 2014 - 2018. She also works adjunct faculty at Bethany Lutheran College.
