I have been a social worker for almost 20 years. I enjoy a varied caseload of young children (up to 10 years old), adults, and geriatric clients. Most of my adult clients meet the criteria of serious and persistent mentally ill. I am also a Certified Play Therapist and utilize a variety of approaches that are individualized to the child. I completed the Infant and Toddler Mental Health Certificate Program in 2009 and will complete the Adoption Competency Certificate Program in 2013.

My work as a therapist is grounded in being intentional and recognizing the privilege I have in helping others find healing as they share their experiences with me. I value relationship and connection as important contributions to my therapy work, especially with young children and their caregivers. The services I provide are grounded in attachment, relationship, and development, all while using a trauma lens which means I explore with you (and your child) what your experiences have been and how they impact you today.

I primarily work with birth to age 18 children and families through the School Linked Mental Health program in Southwest Minnesota. I provide therapy through a variety of methods with the most commonly utilized treatments being TI-CPP, EMDR, CBT, and IFS.

I provide therapy working with minorities including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities including adolescents, young adults, and adoptive families. I specialize in brainspotting, exposure and response prevention, and play therapy when working with anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, and ADHD. I provide mental health counseling to children, adolescents and their families. Our private practice specializes in working with families that has a member with hearing loss (Deaf, deaf or hard of hearing). I’m fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and have worked with children and parents in the Deaf community for over 20 years.
