Biography

Katherine (she/her) is Licensed Graduate Social Worker and holds a Master's degree in social work from Augsburg University and a Bachelor's degree in social work from St. Olaf College. Katherine has the joy and privilege of working with children, adolescents, their caregivers, and multi-disciplinary teams of diverse identities and backgrounds who have been impacted by abuse and trauma. She provides trauma informed and culturally responsive individual and group therapy services to children and adolescents ages 3-17 at CornerHouse in Minneapolis.

Kayla is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and believes in the power of relationships to assist clients in finding their unique healing needs in ways that are comfortable and meaningful to the individual and family system. Kayla works with children (ages 3 and up), teens, and families who are experiencing behavioral and mental health needs, disruptions in attachment and family relationships, and trauma. Kayla also has experience in Preschool Mental Health Day Treatment and Child Protection Case Management.

With a commitment to continuous learning and evidence-based practices, I strive to make a positive impact on the lives of the children and families I work with.

Biography

Britney Marks-Kroehler (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) who specializes in supporting neurodivergent (Autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD) individuals and families along with those who have been impacted by foster care and adoption. Britney holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University and a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Studies from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

My name is Melissa and I have been working with children and families for over 15 years. I enjoy working with the whole family system and seeing changes happen to make the family function better. I value being able to go with the child and family on a healing journey whether that is finding answers or just having a safe space to ask questions. I have always enjoyed working with children of all ages.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending my time with my own family and friends. I enjoy being outside, talking my dog for walks, reading, watching movies, traveling and going camping.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) currently practicing as a Clinical Services Manager at Fraser’s collaboration with Minneapolis Public Schools. I manage two day treatment classrooms, supervise staff and maintain an outpatient caseload. Fraser is one of the largest providers for mental health services in Minnesota (children and adults) and recently became a CCBHC (Certified Community Behavior Health Clinic).

I currently am a County Social Worker with Rice County Social Services providing children’s services in the areas of Child Protection, Child Welfare and the Parent Support Outreach Program. I have previously worked in the area of family reunification and adoption providing families with Family Group Services in Blue Earth, Nicollet, Sibley, Brown and Watonwan counties. Prior to that I have several years’ experience doing In-home Family Therapy and skills work. Many of the children I work with struggle with permanency and adoption issues.
