I see primarily BIPOC and make space to explore the impact of oppressive systems on identity. I have a special interest in mixed/multiracial people, transracial and transnational adoptees, and Queer & Trans BIPOC. My clinical specialty is complex trauma and dissociation for adults 18+, so I refer to other therapists for children, families, and couples.

All people are striving for well-being in their life, with ideas, goals, and opportunities available for each unique person. It is my sincere belief that most people know the direction they aim towards in life. However, life often throws us curveballs, and it's okay to ask someone to come along for part of the journey. You may need help to reframe your perspective, build up coping skills and mindfulness, process trauma, or support your relationships in order to continue on your life's journey.

I am currently working as a Mental Health Practitioner at CARE Counseling. Prior to that, I worked at at St. David's primarily with kids and their families who have been a part of the foster care system. I have provided Intensive Treatment to Foster Care (ITFC), and Treatment Foster Care Oregon (TFCO). I prioritize building strong relationships in order to support clients to be vibrant members of their communities. I recognize that our experiences in the world create our lens in which we view things.

Patty Miller, LPCC is a one of the first therapists in Minnesota to work in a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility for children. She is employed at Northwood Children’s Services –PRTF in Duluth, MN. Patty has over 25 years of experience working with children and families. She also has a MA in Management and is a former CEO of a Children’s Advocacy Center. Patty has provided foster care to over 100 children and has advanced professional training in EMDR, Grief and Loss, Temperament Assessments and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I primarily work with birth to age 18 children and families through the School Linked Mental Health program in Southwest Minnesota. I provide therapy through a variety of methods with the most commonly utilized treatments being TI-CPP, EMDR, CBT, and IFS.

The focus of my practice is working with children 1-18 years of age in foster care or that have been adopted and/or trauma focused treatment with children and their families. I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), the ARC model (Attachment, Regulation and Competency), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), sand tray therapy and Polyvagal theory and am currently in training for Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP).

Kristin is a licensed clinical therapist trained in Child Parent Psychotherapy. She has been a foster and adoptive momma for 20 years and is intimately familiar with the ins and outs of transracial adoption.

Amelia is the Founder and Executive Officer of the national non-profit, Alia. Amelia and Team Alia are UnSysteming the child welfare system and shifting mindsets and practice to keep children safely with, not from, their families. Alia employs a community co-design approach, working alongside parents with lived expertise and innovative systems leaders as partners to co-create new solutions to longstanding problems, while supporting the wellbeing of leaders, teams, and caregivers.

I am dedicated to working with individuals, couples, and families by supporting hope and growth through a family systems perspective and trauma informed care. My passion is attachment, relationships, and development and their impact on functioning throughout one’s life. I find encouragement in my work through helping others find hope, strength, and healing within their environment and relationships. I am also trained in Theraplay, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), and Circle of Security-Parenting.
