I currently serve as the Youth Services Program Manager at EVOLVE Family Services. I was drawn to EVOLVE because of its strong commitment to child-centered, anti-oppressive, and anti-racist practices. These principles are at the heart of why I do this work. I am committed to ongoing learning and growth and continuously look for ways to deepen my understanding and strengthen these practices in both my leadership and direct work with youth, families, and community partners.

Anna Heinzerling, LICSW

Biography

Anna is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience providing psychotherapy across the lifespan in neighborhood, residential, outpatient, and school-based settings. She currently provides therapy via telehealth. Anna specializes in working with individuals and families impacted by adoption, offering a thoughtful, trauma-informed approach to exploring identity, attachment, relationships, and life transitions.

Biography

Jackie is a youth worker at EVOLVE Family Services. She works with the STAY program, providing support and independent living skills to youth ages 14-23 who have experienced out of home placement. Jackie also works with youth currently in foster care with a TPR as a child specific recruiter, searching for potential families and advocating for the youth's wants and needs regarding permanency.

Jordan MacDonald is a Children’s Mental Health and Post‑Permanency Social Worker in a county setting. Jordan’s work centers on helping families adjust to new permanency arrangements by providing services, support, and resources to those navigating recent adoptions or transfers of custody. Jordan offers trauma‑informed guidance while connecting families with therapeutic, educational, and community supports.

Biography

Amy has her Bachelor’s of Social Work degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead, and her Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of North Dakota and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Amy has 17 years of experience working in foster care/adoption agencies and chemical dependency residential settings in North Dakota and Minnesota. Amy brings with her knowledge regarding the child welfare systems, advocacy for foster care/adoption/kinship youth and families, parent education, understanding of trauma histories, and mental health diagnoses.

Biography

I provide Concurrent Planning and Special Needs Adoption case work for a county system. I am responsible for locating permanency options and completing adoptions post TPR. I provide support to foster, birth and adoptive families. I have worked in the child protection field for over 12 years with approximately 6 of them in adoption. I locate families for children on my case load with the goal of permanency.

Biography

I have worked in the social service system for over 25 years with children and families prior to becoming a licensed clinical counselor. I am very familiar with the child protection and court system. I have attended trainings with the MN Pride Network for LGBTQ population. I have worked with adults and children on the autism spectrum. I spent 10 years working with children and birth, adoptive and foster families in the child protection system.

Erin earned her Master’s of Social Work from the University of North Dakota in 2019, following her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Argosy University in 2006. She has been working with individuals impacted by trauma since 2006, bringing extensive experience from various settings, including residential chemical dependency treatment, community-based mental health, school-based, outpatient mental health and chemical dependency, and community social work consultation.
