Abby is currently a Child Protection and Adoptions Case Manager in a county setting. Her role includes partnering with caregivers, coordinating services, and promoting child safety and well-being. When children are not able to be reunified with their birth parents, Abby supports children and families through permanency.

Biography

Aimee Klinski, MSW, is the Permanency/Adoption Social Worker for Winona County providing services related to permanency planning and the elements of adoption for children under the guardianship of the State of Minnesota. She works closely with Ongoing Child Protection Case Managers for concurrent permanency planning.

I provide mental health counseling to children, adolescents and their families. Our private practice specializes in working with families that has a member with hearing loss (Deaf, deaf or hard of hearing). I’m fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and have worked with children and parents in the Deaf community for over 20 years.

I have 5+ years of experience as a therapist, and I have experience working in day treatment and intensive outpatient settings. I utilize a strengths-based, attachment-based, and trauma-focused lens when working with clients and their families. I highly value collaboration with clients and their families together, as well as professional collaboration and consultation.

My work is grounded in an attachment-focused approach, helping clients build safe, trusting relationships that foster healing and resilience. I partner with caregivers, caseworkers, and community supports, tailoring my approach to meet each family’s unique needs.

Amariah McCarthy, MSW, LICSW is a therapist with Children's Minnesota working in one of their Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) in Lakeville, MN. Amariah is currently providing individual and family therapy, crisis stabilization and therapeutic groups for adolescents through the PHP. I have 6 years of working in child welfare between Washington state and Mississippi.
